Like most good ideas, Scidan Consulting started with a few experienced business executives who saw there was a market need and decided to act on it.​ We serve our clients in a comprehensive manner and place a high value on interpersonal and firm relationships.

Nathan Pollak

Nathan Pollak is a finance, risk analytics, and management consulting professional with
expertise in energy, utilities, and electric power markets. Nathan advises clients on
restructuring matters, litigation, strategy, and business process improvement. Over the
past 20 years, Nathan has helped organizations successfully develop and deploy strategic
programs, and he has worked with public and private entities to navigate complex
restructurings including the
 Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority, Pacific Gas & Electric,
and Energy Future Holdings. Nathan has provided commercial support and analysis of
power purchase agreements and fuel commodities, and he has led multiple asset and power
contract valuations. Nathan has a fundamental understanding of the regional nuances
among electric power markets, and he has supported clients in tax, tort, arbitration, and
regulatory proceedings across multiple geographies. He has supported state governments
and their instrumentalities on matters related to the electric power sector, including
advising on policy matters and electric utility wildfire safety. His experience includes
engagements with Fortune 100 companies and government agencies, including several
investor-owned utilities, independent power producers, the State of California, and the
United States Department of Defense. Mr. Pollak is a decorated United States Marine Corps
veteran with a combat tour in Iraq.


Mr. Pollak holds a B.A. in Computer Science from Duke University and an M.B.A. from the
University of Denver.
